Planted Seat Spacer Kit - 1"
The Planted 1" Seat Spacer Kit raises an aftermarket seat that sits lower than you want. The spacers install between the slider and seat bracket, between a side mount and the bracket, or between the seat and the bracket. They are 1/8" steel with pre-drilled slots and powder-coated black, and they're sold as a pair for one seat.
- Raises seat height by 1"
- 1/8" steel, approximately 14-3/4" L x 1-1/2" W, black powder coat
- Mounts between slider and bracket, side mount and bracket, or seat and bracket
- Runs front to back. Not for direct floor mounting
- Compatible with most major slider and seat brands
- Sold as a pair (one seat). Longer hardware required, Seat Hardware Kit recommended
- Also available in 1.5" and 2" heights
Disclaimers:
- Seats come in many different shapes and sizes, so not all seats will fit in all vehicles. It is up to the end user to determine if the seat will fit before ordering the seat bracket and other components.
- Many vehicles have the steering wheel offset toward the center of the vehicle. This can be accentuated when installing an aftermarket seat of a different size than the factory seat.
- Replacing a factory seat with an aftermarket seat may cause the vehicle's warning indicators to activate. This can be due to airbag, weight and/or other sensors in the factory seat that are not included in an aftermarket seat. It may be possible to eliminate these indicators with an electronic resistor, but it is up to the end user to determine if a resistor will work and which resistor to use.
- Professional installation is recommended.
Getting a seat low is usually the goal, but not always. Shorter drivers, street cars that need better sightlines, and cars where a seat change dropped the hip point too far all benefit from a little height back. The Planted Seat Spacer adds 1" without changing the rest of your mounting setup.
Each spacer is made from 1/8" steel, measures about 14-3/4" long by 1-1/2" wide, and is powder-coated black. Pre-drilled slots let it sit between the slider and the seat bracket, between a side mount and the seat bracket, or between the seat and the bracket on direct-mount installs. It works with most major slider and seat brands.
The spacers run front to back, one on each side, and they mount on top of a seat bracket. They aren't designed to bolt directly to the vehicle floor, because that's the seat bracket's job. The stack gets taller, so you'll need longer bolts. Planted recommends its Seat Hardware Kit for spacer installs.
They're sold as a pair, which is enough for one seat. 1.5" and 2" heights are also available. After raising the seat, re-check helmet clearance to the roof or cage and your harness shoulder-belt angle.
